Who Are the Data Controller and Data Processor?

The legal term “data controller” refers to a natural or legal person who collects your personal data, determines the purposes and means of processing, and is responsible for ensuring that such data is processed in accordance with applicable national and European data protection regulations.

The legal term “data processor” refers to a natural or legal person who processes your personal data on behalf of the data controller, in accordance with applicable national and European data protection regulations.

Within its business operations, PRO PUTUJ may act as either a data controller or data processor, depending on the circumstances of the transaction during which data processing occurs. In all cases, PRO PUTUJ handles your data strictly in accordance with applicable regulations and ensures an appropriate level of protection and security.

Certain personal data is necessary for PRO PUTUJ to provide you with specific services. If for any reason you do not wish to provide your personal data to PRO PUTUJ, you may decline, however PRO PUTUJ may then be unable to provide the services you are interested in.

Where Is Your Personal Data Processed?

Given that PRO PUTUJ’s activities include the provision of travel agency services, your personal data may be processed by the parties listed in Section 5, both within the EU and in countries outside the EU (e.g., where a subcontractor from another country is engaged to provide a service or part of a service involving personal data processing).

However, PRO PUTUJ ensures that the relevant parties will always be bound by contractual obligations to maintain the confidentiality and security of your personal data, in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.

According to Opinion No. 7/2010 of the Article 29 Data Protection Working Party, personal data of service users may be transferred to companies operating in countries outside the EU (e.g., another travel or tourism agency acting as a sub-agent; an accommodation facility where the service user is staying in a specific case), however only such personal data as is necessary for the service provided by that company may be transferred, and it must be processed exclusively for business purposes.

PRO PUTUJ will under no circumstances make your personal data available to entities that are not authorized to process your personal data.
